Tip # 2: Creativity - Connecting in Nature
Our films are for parents, carers and teachers of young children - we hope you enjoy these tips from our friend Alis - headteacher, mindfulness and life coach.
Thinking about mindfulness includes thinking about Creativity - teaching your child to be creative, to think outside of the box, to be imaginative and to dream helps them to develop their brain, become more self-confident and more self-aware and improves happiness levels. So why not head outside, connect with nature for some cloud watching!

It's mental health awareness day 2 and tip number 2:
Take a blanket into a park, your garden, an open space and cloud watch with your children!
Just lying on your back looking up at the clouds and having a think about what they can see up there, just making up characters from the clouds in the sky.
And then think about perhaps putting a story together?
You could take say one line at a time of the story and see where it goes.
This is great for mindfulness, getting them to really think about the present moment.
But it's also really good for encouraging creativity, it's encouraging thinking out of the box and it's encouraging that dream aspect that we want our children to have.
Again all really good for emotional wellbeing and happiness.
