Professor Amanda Kirby

Professor Amanda Kirby is a GP and an internationally recognised expert in neurodiversity, with a long-standing career spanning research, clinical practice and education.
She has held academic roles at the University of South Wales, where she is now Emeritus Professor, and is also an Honorary Professor at Cardiff University. In 2012, she co-founded Do-IT Solutions, a technology company focused on supporting neurodivergent individuals through screening tools, training and consultancy.
Professor Kirby has written extensively on neurodiversity, including books and research publications, and has worked with organisations across education, health and employment. As a neurodivergent individual herself, her work is shaped by both professional expertise and lived experience, with a focus on improving understanding and supporting people to reach their full potential.
